Excedrin PM Headache combines acetaminophen and aspirin for pain relief with diphenhydramine citrate, a nighttime sleep aid. It is intended for the temporary relief of occasional headaches and minor aches and pains when accompanied by sleeplessness.

Active Ingredients

Each caplet contains:
• Acetaminophen — 250 mg — Pain reliever
• Aspirin — 250 mg (NSAID) — Pain reliever
• Diphenhydramine Citrate — 38 mg — Nighttime sleep aid

Suggested Use

Adults and children 12 years and older: Take 2 caplets at bedtime with a full glass of water.

Do not take more than 2 caplets in 24 hours unless directed by a doctor.

Children under 12 years: Do not use.

Important Warnings

Drowsiness will occur. Do not drive, operate machinery, or perform activities requiring alertness after taking this medicine. Avoid alcoholic drinks.

Do not combine with other products containing diphenhydramine, including products applied to the skin.

This product also contains acetaminophen. Do not combine it with other medicines containing acetaminophen. Taking more than directed can cause severe liver damage.

Because it contains aspirin (NSAID), this medicine can cause stomach bleeding. Risk may be higher in older adults and people with a history of ulcers or bleeding, or those taking anticoagulants, steroids, or other NSAIDs.

Storage

Store at 20–25°C (68–77°F). Close the cap tightly after use. Do not use if the inner safety seal is broken or missing. Keep out of reach of children.
